Burundian media: new chapter opens in China-Africa cooperation on AI

China's people-centered approach to AI governance, with its emphasis on development, security, civilization, and governance, closely aligns with African countries' development goals, Etienne Bankuwiha, a Burundian sinologist wrote for Burundian media Le Renouveau du Burundi.

The 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) in Shanghai demonstrated that AI is not the exclusive domain of a few developed countries.
