


Ambassador Huang Meets with Minister of Gender Equality and Family Welfare

On February 4, Ambassador Huang Shifang met with Mauritian Minister of Gender Equality and Family Welfare, Hon. Marie Arianne Navarre-Marie.

Ambassador Huang highlighted China’s achievements in advancing women’s development and noted that both China and Mauritius attach great importance to the cause of women. China is willing to work with the Mauritian side to advance the implementation of the outcomes and consensus of the Global Leaders' Meeting on Women, accelerating the new process of women’s all-round development and contributing to a community with a shared future for humanity.
Minister Navarre-Marie shared her impressions from attending the Global Leaders' Meeting on Women in China. She spoke highly of President Xi Jinping’s four proposals for tackling the challenges facing women development, as well as China’s five concrete measures to support the global cause of women, noting that they reflect China’s strong sense of responsibility as a major country and its broad global vision. She expressed the Mauritian side’s readiness to enhance exchanges and mutual learning with China, deepen practical cooperation and support further progress in the development of women’s cause in both countries.
