Ambassador Huang Shifang Attends Spring Festival Celebration at LDM

On February 11, Ambassador Huang Shifang attended and addressed the 2026 Spring Festival celebration at Lycée des Mascareignes(LDM) upon invitation.

Ambassador Huang noted that China and Mauritius enjoy a long-standing friendship, and that the Spring Festival has become a shared celebration of both countries, carrying deep historical and cultural ties between their peoples. She stated that today’s China, an ancient and vast country, is gaining renewed recognition through its achievements in technological innovation and green development, while an increasingly open China continues to share development opportunities with the world. She encouraged the students to learn and use Chinese well, to gain a comprehensive and multi-dimensional understanding of China, and to actively participate in exchanges and cooperation between the two countries, becoming bridges of friendship between China and Mauritius. 

 Students presented a variety of performances in Chinese, including sketches, songs and dances.
